Firstly, thank you for taking an interest in Howarth Electrical, we wish you a warm welcome. We were established in Wilmslow, Cheshire and we're a well-established electricians offering a full installation service within commercial, domestic and industrial environments.

Our team of highly skilled, qualified electricians are up to date with the current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations A2:2022, Part P Building Regulations as well as the latest and more stringent 2377-77 PAT Testing qualification. Howarth Electrical have developed an excellent track record for customer service, which is why our customers come back to us time and again.
 
All our electricians are qualified to work in accordance with the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) guidelines and the latest BS7671 Wiring Regulations A2:2022, which means that we can guarantee you will be 100% satisfied with our work.
 
We're happy to provide a hassle free, no-obligation quotations for all our jobs with no hidden costs to make sure that our customers have complete transparency as to what the job is, and the work and costs involved.
 
All our work is carried out by experienced electricians that are registered with NAPIT as competent persons. The work completed is all in accordance with current BS7671 wiring regulations and we register all our work via Napit who in turn notify the appropriate local building control body.

The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers, or NAPIT for short, is a leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme operator in the building services and fabric sector. There are currently more than 15,000 NAPIT registered installers in the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, microgeneration and building fabric trades across the UK domestic, commercial and industrial markets.

Competent Person Schemes (CPS) were introduced by the UK Government to allow individuals and enterprises to self-certify that their work complies with the Building Regulations as an alternative to submitting a building notice or using an approved inspector. A Competent Person must be registered with a scheme that has been approved by MHCLG (Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government).

The Disclosure and Barring Service helps employers and businesses make safer recruitment decisions each year by processing and issuing DBS checks for England. DBS also maintains the adults’ and children’s Barred Lists and makes considered decisions as to whether an individual should be included on one or both of these lists and barred from engaging in regulated activity. British Standard BS 7671 "Requirements for Electrical Installations. IET Wiring Regulations", informally called in the UK electrical community "The Regs", is the national standard in the United Kingdom for electrical installation and the safety of electrical wiring in domestic, commercial, industrial, and other buildings, also in special installations and locations, such as marinas or caravan parks and medical locations.

Often referred to as PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing) this qualification is undertaken if you are a practising electrician either involved in the inspection and testing of electrical equipment. There is one qualification available at this level: Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (2377-77)
